Portraits with some Irish charm – new Menston business. More eggs2iPads awards photos

A unique family portrait, from baby to a family group, can make an ideal present for a special occasion. A charming young Irish woman, Laura Crane, who moved to Menston about two years ago, is offering to create a lovely pencil portrait as she adds a home-based business to her activities as a freelance graphic designer.

Laura, from Belfast, graduated in graphic design from Leeds University but settled in the UK rather than return to Northern Ireland and worked for a while in a graphic design company. More recently she decided to branch out on her own as a freelance designer but friends and family, for whom she had done her pencil portraits, suggested that others might like the opportunity to commission such a portrait. So now there’s Kokoro Portraits in Menston.

Laura works from a photograph, which can be emailed or sent to her or she will call on anyone in Menston who is interested. Depending on size and complexity, and of course her work load, a small portrait (eg about A5) can usually be done in between a couple of days and a week; larger ones (eg about A3) may take a little longer.

You can contact Laura by email at: kokoroportraits@gmail.com or by phone on 0759 645 3704 during the working week. If she is not available to take the call, or outside working hours, leave a message and she will call you back.
