Art exhibition, two car shows, summer fair and more coming

Menston Vehicle Show 5 May 2014The first Menston car show was a resounding success and, being in the village centre, was great for the village too, with multiple locations encouraging visitors to walk around the village. It was good for village businesses too, some of which stayed open.

So it’s sad that the organisers decided that it was too much hassle to organise it in the same way again and moved it to the Menston Cricket Club ‘fun day’ with a limit of 25 invited vehicles. This will, however, be a great addition to the fun day.

Menston Vehicle Show 5 May 2014Maybe the Malt Shovel has saved the day for motor and motorcycle fans with a charity event only a week later which, supporting Yorkshire Ambulance, includes a vehicle show.

Much more imminent is the twice a year art exhibition by the Menston Art Club, next weekend.
More in the future is the annual Summer Fair in July.
Then there’s the Menston Show, now in its 40th year, on 10 September.
