Menston Arts Club 50th birthday exhibition
With around 500 visitors over the two days, possibly more, the 50th birthday exhibition of the Menston Arts Club last weekend was a great success. Over 142 pictures were exhibited by 47 club members, together with 39 portfolios. In all 26 framed pictures, and 61 pictures from members’ portfolios were sold.
A pastel of the Doges Palace in Venice, by and donated by club president John Ridyard (see previous post), was bought in a secret auction by a club member, proceeds going to the Psoriasis Association.
The exhibition was opened at a Friday preview evening by local Look North presenter Charlotte Leeming.
As usual, the pictures below can be seen larger, with captions as a slide show, by clicking on any one.
