Menston village: Planning issues

Well there you have it, after 3-4 years of hard slog BMDC appears to have been listening and common sense (two words that have just about disappeared from the vocabulary) seems to have prevailed.

As project manager for the WARD group and heavily involved with Menston Action Group and Menston Parish Council I feel very proud to have had some influence in the decision making in Bradford; however, this is not the end of the beginning but the beginning of the end.

The fact we (Menston) are now down to a housing allocation of 400 houses doesn’t change anything. The land which the developer wants to build on is flawed and has been since Doomsday.

Yet another application on Bingley Road has appeared and yet again the site is flooded. When will developers and their lap dog agents realise some land is not for developing!!

The fight continues, watch this space.
