A red-twigged lime now stands in Menston Park, organised by Menston in Bloom to celebrate the 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II. Following the formal planting by Cllr Dale Smith, the local Beavers pack got stuck in to complete the job.
The ceremony was rounded off by the assembled villagers singing the National Anthem then Happy Birthday. The sun continued to shine as we went home feeling that it was a job well done.
